Since May of 1970 we have lived on 80 acres west of Pine River. We bought 40 acres and an old house for $4,000, built a new one 5 years later. Then in 1993 we bought the 40 acres south of us where we planted 8,000 trees the following spring. Wayne's folks lived on 80 acres across the road from us, our grandson Neil and his wife now live there.

We both retired when we were age 55.

We have a Polaris Ranger 4X4 which we drive around our trees every day we can, it's like a nerve pill. We have a Lund fishing boat and many lakes around here. We have a 1995 Southwind Storm motorhome which we take everwhere. It's nice to have our own bed and pillow that we can get a good nights sleep in.

I had a stroke in September 2005. It effects my mind and my handwriting but not my body, thank God.
